Effect of Organic Waste Fertilizers on Growth and Development of Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus)

Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) is an important vegetable crop grown with high demand and economic value. Thus, to improve the growth development of okra, organic fertilizer can minimize inorganic usage. The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse for 6 weeks compare rate okra between combination waste fertilizers NPK determine most suitable okra. laid randomized complete block design (RCBD) 4 replications consisting 5 treatments, where T0: no fertilizer, T1: 12:12:17:2 (20 g), T2: (10 g) + vermicompost (25 T3: biochar T4: chicken manure respectively. Parameters assessed were plant height, number leaves, chlorophyll content, fruits, fresh dry weight, soil pH. Results indicated that significantly lowest T0 T1 while highest T4. T4 showed best performance by achieving value all parameters after planting. It be deduced might promote higher reducing dependency on compound fertilizers.
